Job Overview: Reporting to the Director, Operations, as the Site Superintendent you will direct and oversee on-site construction activities across multiple construction sites. You also ensure construction follows established design, quality, budget and schedule.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Communicating with trade partners and suppliers to schedule the delivery/installation of materials and labor. Inspecting work to ensure it meets Qualico’s standards and all building and safety code requirements.
• Completing daily hazard assessments as part of the safety program that Qualico prides itself in.
• Interpreting plans and specifications, solving problems and communicating errors, discrepancies or questions to the project management team.
• Supervising, developing and providing guidance to on-site team members. Managing daily tasks, and ensuring clear direction is given and work is carried out in a safe manner.
• Ensuring adherence to Qualico’s Safety Program and relevant safety legislation. Performing site safety orientations, leading regular safety meetings and completing required reporting.
• Meeting with customers prior to possession to thoroughly inspect homes and effectively respond to inquiries or concerns, ensuring delivery of excellent customer service. Addressing concerns or deficiencies with the project management team accordingly.
• Maintaining project schedules, completing regular progress reports and providing to the project management team.
• Filling out daily hazard assessments as Qualico prides themselves as a safety leader.

Essential Requirements:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of site superintendent experience in residential construction industry.
• Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
• Experience overseeing and managing multiple construction sites.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle. • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint and Excel) and construction management software (BuildPro, NewStar, etc.).
• Physically able to carry out basic construction duties.

Job Overview: Reporting to the Director, Operations, as the Assistant Site Superintendent you will oversee on-site construction activities and assist in ensuring construction follows established design and quality. You also enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Overseeing on-site construction of new homes throughout the building process.
• Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring all employees and trades work in a safe manner and follow Qualico’s Safety program and relevant safety legislation.
• Liaising and maintaining positive relationships with trade partners and suppliers.
• Monitoring work to ensure it meets Qualico’s standards and all building and safety code requirements.
• Completing required repairs and handling general deficiencies.
• Assisting in monitoring the project progress and schedules. Completing regular progress reports, checklists, logbook entries and other reports.
• Supervising and providing guidance to on-site team members.

• Understanding of construction processes and procedures.

• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams), and construction management software (BuildPro, NewStar etc.).

Preferred Requirements: Experience with drywall repairs, siliconing and painting is an asset.

Job Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a Framing Site Supervisor to join Empire Envelope, in Calgary, AB. You oversee on-site construction activities, coordinate trades, materials, and schedules and ensure timely, high-quality completion of work. You maintain strong communication with builders and internal teams, uphold safety and quality standards, and represent Empire Envelope professionally on all jobsites.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Managing and advising material needs (proper material levels and proper tracking of extra and/or leftover material when applicable.
• Ordering material, coordinating scopes of work with Construction Management Team.
• Communicating with builders to ensure jobsites are ready.
• Managing trades on site to ensure scopes of work are completed correctly and ensuring policies are followed.
• Maintaining jobs notes and dates in JS.
• Being responsible, along with construction management team, for scope of work timelines.
• Upholding and protecting the high-quality standards of Empire Envelope and ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.
• Representing Empire Envelope when dealing with builders, team members, divisions, homeowners, and trades.
• Providing feedback to direct manager regarding our work, our trades, trade damage, site conditions, builder issues, etc.
• Maintaining weekly vehicle inspections, general vehicle cleanliness and maintenance. Reporting any vehicle concerns to your direct manager immediately upon notice.
• Ensuring trades work in a safe manner, hazard assessments are filled out, proper PPE is worn, and reporting anything that is a safety concern to your direct manager and / or safety department. • Performing inspections, consisting of pre-installation, during installation, and post-installation inspections, ensuring quality standards are met/exceeded.

• Comfortable using office equipment and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
• Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
