Title: Estimator

Location: 16 Speers Road, Winnipeg

Job Overview: Reporting to the Branch Manager, as the Estimator you will analyze costs, prepare estimates and provide support to the Sales team. You also provide knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Completing or reviewing project take-offs and estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Compiling, filing and maintaining estimating related documents for record-keeping and future references.
• Collaborating with Design team to ensure project plans and estimates are consistent, and rectifying variances when necessary.
• Supporting Sales team to review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate estimates are provided to customers.
• Liaising with trades and suppliers for pricing and reviewing quotes for each job file to ensure accurate information.

Essential Requirements:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating related experience in residential construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of residential construction and understanding of blueprint reading.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint), and estimating software (Mitek Supply).

Preferred Requirements: Hands-on experience with framing and carpentry is considered an asset.

Working Conditions: You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours with travel to local sites required on a frequent basis. Overtime may occasionally be required.
