Job Description:

Windsor Plywood Calgary Highfield South is growing - and we're looking for a Full-Time Outside Sales Representative to join our team and help expand our PRO contractor business across Calgary and the surrounding area. If you're a motivated and professional individual with a passion for building materials and customer relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

Windsor Plywood: We specialize in hard-to-source interior and exterior home finishing products including flooring, doors, mouldings, specialty wood products, lumber commodities, and plywoods. Our goal in simple - focus on our customer's needs and provide outstanding customer service. We carry high quality, responsibly-sourced products and are committed to providing outstanding value and personalized, one-on-one service to all of our customers. Many of our customers rely on us for after-sales product support as they work through their projects.

Summary of Position: This role requires generating new business, maintaining and strengthening customer relationships, and demonstrating extensive knowledge of our industry, building materials, and the contracting business. It is a hands-on position that involves working with customers throughout the entire sales cycle. Success in this role is measured primarily by sales performance, with the goal of establishing this individual as the go-to resource for Windsor PRO contractors and commerical customers.

What You'll Do:
• Build relationships with residential, renovation, and commercial contractors
• Develop new business and manage an extensive book of PRO customers
• Promote a full range of building materials and specialty wood products
• Prepare quotes, close sales, and follow through on service
• Collaborate with inside sales, yard, and delivery teams
• Stay up to date on product knowledge and industry trends
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets

What You Bring:
• Experience in outside sales, preferably in Lumber Building Materials (LBM) or construction
• Strong knowledge of building practices and contractor needs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• A professional, self-driven, and organized approach
• Sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to identify grades, dimensions, and species of lumber and building materials
• Flexible, honest, and professional in all situations, with integrity
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfortable using sales software (POS, CRM, Microsoft 365 Applications, Email, Spreadsheets, Inventory Management)
