Title: Craftsperson (new residential home construction)
Location: Edmonton and surrounding areas

Job Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Service, as the Craftsperson you are responsible for performing corrective actions in homeowner residences throughout the warranty period. You deliver excellent quality services in an efficient and professional manner to maintain positive relationships with homeowners and related parties.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Performing corrective actions to rectify deficiencies, identifying potential issues, and suggesting means of remediation.
- Repairing and painting drywall.
- Updating the status of repairs and liaising with team members to validate service requests prior to commencing work.
- Attending pre-scheduled homeowner appointments and supporting the refinement of repair processes.
- Developing proficiency in completion of warranty quality control.
- Complying with Qualico’s Safety Program and any relevant regulations
- Providing support to other projects as required.
Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of trades or restoration service-related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of painting and drywalling experience.
- Experience in a residential finishing trade (i.e., finish carpentry, drywall, paint, flooring, cabinetry) or restoration with preference given to hands-on experience in multiple scopes of work.
- Own tools and equipment.
- Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check and driver’s abstract.
Preferred Qualifications: Trade certification is preferred. Being comfortable and proficient in using an assortment of tools to complete construction tasks relating to the correction of deficient items will ensure success in this role.
Working Conditions: You primarily work on site in completed homes during regular business hours with potential for exposure to noise from equipment/machinery, occupational hazards and dust. Travel to regional offices and multiple site locations is required. Overtime may occasionally be required.
